Welcome to Despreaux Kennels.  founded in the late 1960's, I purchased my first Pyrenean puppy (Champion Drayton Antoinette) in January 1976, beginning a lifelong love affair with the breed.

My aim is to work for the betterment of the breed by recognising strengths as well as weaknesses and trying to improve on them.  To this end I have introduced a number of imports over the years whose contributions to my breeding program have been invaluable.

Located near the quiet country village of Grabben Gullen in NSW, Australia, Despreaux Kennels is home to multi Best in Show and Best in Group winning dogs.  Over the years my Pyreneans have also featured on television shows such as Harry's Practice, Totally Wild and Burke's Backyard.  Pyreneans from Despreaux Kennels can be found not only in the show ring but also living as well loved family pets and as working livestock guardians.
